Immigration According To Business Skills

Australia, Canada, Britain, New Zealand and the USA have numerous programs that enable an individual and his immediate family (spouse/common law spouse and children) to receive a visa to immigrate, with the status of a temporary and/or permanent resident, on the basis of his/her past business skills and talent and his/her future business intentions and commitments to the country to which he/she intends to immigrate. To this extent, the applicant must be able to prove an overall successful business career as well as provide a business proposal of his/her business intentions, that is, to establish a new business or become a partner in an existing business.

An overall successful business career is defined according to each specific country in the following terms: the number of years the applicant has owned a share in his business or managed or held a senior position in a particular business; the annual turnover of the business, the level of business assets owned by the applicant and the amount of personal assets owned of the applicant. Australia, Canada, Britain, New Zealand and the USA have a diverse range of business skilled programs that are based on variations of the abovementioned criterion - please refer to the individual country to which you intend to immigrate for more detailed information.

The skilled business migration programs are limited to applicants under the age of 55.

In some countries, the applicant must show that he/she has a certain level of English in order to satisfy the requirements for obtaining a business visa.

One of the requirements to obtain a business skills visa in some countries is proof of funds or a certain level of investment of funds.

Temporary business skilled visas may be obtained by an applicant with a successful business career and/or an entrepreneur who is highly skilled in the business sector to allow him/her to investigate genuine business possibilities.
